Why Study Agricultural Business?
NSAC in conjunction with Dalhousie University offers a B.Sc.(
Agr.) with a major in Agricultural Business.
The global food industry requires highly educated business
leaders who understand both the science and the business of
food & related industries. In Canada alone, the food industry
provides one out of every seven jobs and contributes $5 to $7
billion annually to Canada’s trade surplus. Furthermore,
entrepreneurial opportunities abound for those who would rather
work for themselves.
Agricultural Business at NSAC will prepare you for this exciting
and growing industry both here and around the world. In our
program science and management practices converge to solve problems
and capture opportunities in our natural world. In four years
you will attain an applied education with a science foundation
and leading business management skills. The food industry will
change, but food will always be a priority.
Graduates of this program meet the formal requirements for Professional Agrologists in the provincial Institutes of Agrologists of the Atlantic Provinces.
