The Scholarship Committee serves:
1. to represent Faculty Council in the allocation
and selection of scholarships and academic awards to students
(technical, undergraduate and graduate) at NSAC.
2. to coordinate, with the Awards Office, the
selection and status of scholarships and awards presented at,
or in connection with, Autumn Assembly and Convocation, and
to act as an Advisory Committee to the Awards Office.
3. to recommend policy with regard to the
scholarship and academic awards program.
4. to review selection criteria for existing scholarships
and academic awards, to recommend selection criteria for new
academic awards and to establish selection criteria where appropriate.
5. to approve the addition and/or deletion of
scholarships and academic awards.
6. to assess future scholarship needs and make
recommendations regarding these needs.
7. to approve the information distributed by the
college on scholarships and academic awards.
8. to report annually to Faculty Council.
