The Scholarship Committee is a committee of Faculty
Council and reports regularly to Faculty Council. Communication
of committee affairs to Faculty Council and the Executive Committee
will consist of circulated minutes of meetings.
Copies of the minutes of the meetings of the
Scholarship Committee are circulated, as approved, to the Secretary
of Faculty Council. As a courtesy, copies of meeting minutes
will also be circulated to Office of the Vice Principal - Academic
and the Student Union.
In general, communication to the committee should
be made directly through the Committee Chair and not through
the Awards Office and/or College Administration.
Letters of appeal of committee decisions or other
requests for clarification of Committee discussion/decisions
should be forwarded in writing to the Chair of the Committee
or through the Principal's Representative to the Committee's
attention.
It is a policy of the Scholarship Committee to
be available to meet with representatives of the Student Union
on a regular basis (at least once each academic year) to address
interests and concerns of students and to receive student input
to the College's Awards Program.
