Nutritive Evaluation of Cold-pressed Meals for Broiler Chickens | ||

Newly developed oilseeds could prove to be used as alternate sources of biofuels therefore providing potential sources of nutritious by-product meals to the feed industry. These oilseeds such as Canola, Camelina, Carinata and others, if processed using extrusion or cold press extrusion to capture the oil, will leave a residual meal with different nutritional characteristics than traditionally produced solvent extracted canola meals. The utilization of nutrients from these meals need to be evaluated for effective use in poultry feeds. |
