Rena Currue an NSAC graduate student in the Department of Plant and Animal Sciences received an award for her poster presentation in the graduate student competition at the meeting of the Canadian Society of Animal Science August 11-14 in Guelph Ontario. Rena's poster entitled "Post-mortem pH decline of breast muscle from broilers and three non commercial strains of chicken" was selected as one of the top three from a field of 24 student presentations. The research was co-authored by Fred Silversides, Kristen Doncaster and Bruce Rathgeber, all from Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada. Congratulations to you Rena on this great accomplishment. |
