NSAC's Official Ring
Designed especially and exclusively for the students and alumni of NSAC!

Launched in 2010, NSAC's official ring project was a partnership with the Students' Union and the Development & External Relations office. The design was developed in consultation with students and alumni.
NSAC's ring is available in two different widths in 14k white and yellow gold, as well as stainless steel. Stainless steel rings have a patina finish.
| The design: Unlike all other school rings, the new design features a textured pattern of barley around the band, making it very symbolic of NSAC. “NSAC” is engraved on the inside of the ring. Each ring is hand-made by local artisan, Donna Hiebert. |

Background: Why barley? Barley is a widely planted and harvested crop in Nova Scotia, used for feeding animals and humans since the earliest times. As such, it is an essential element of agriculture for humans and animals. In 1890, seven acres of barley was planted on NSAC’s campus. It is also used world-wide in the making of beer and as an infant food. |
