| Dear
NSAC Alumnus,
Greetings from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College!
If you have been receiving the NSAC Agricola News and the Alumni E-News, you
are aware that these are exciting times for the NSAC.
We are currently enjoying a nearly five per cent increase in enrolment, the
third such increase since 2003-2004. As well, the university welcomed one of
its largest influxes of international students to campus this Fall. Forty-eight
international students are calling NSAC home this year including students from
China, Norway, Mexico, Japan, Rwanda, India, the UK, Jamaica and Bermuda.
We would really like to have an opportunity to get together with our alumni
in Charlottetown to fill you in on the details on these and other exciting initiatives.
We’d also like to stay connected with you and hear what is happening in
your lives.
Nick Marchand, a member of the NSAC Recruitment team will be in the Charlottetown
area on Wednesday, October 25th, 2006 and would love to get together with you
for an evening of casual conversation and fellowship at the Rodd Charlottetown,
75 Kent Street in the Georgian Terrace beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Area meetings such as this are a way for us to touch base with our alumni.
We get a lot of our updated contact information on alumni by hosting these area
get-togethers. There won’t be any formal program. It’s mainly a
chance for you to hear a little bit about what’s happening at the university
and an opportunity to meet and renew acquaintances with other AC grads living
in the area.
I certainly hope you are able to attend this get-together on the 25th . Feel
free to bring your spouse and your yearbook and other photos for
an evening of reminiscing. There will be a cash bar and finger foods
provided. Please RSVP your attendance either by phone
(902) 893-7247 or by e-mail at alumni@nsac.ca
